Important Information

Travel to Plovdiv, Bulgaria

Plovdiv has a smallish airport, which offers direct flights from the UK. Alternatively, guests can fly into Sofia, which has a larger airport. Sofia is just under a two hour drive from Plovdiv with buses departing regularly.

Accommodation

There is limited accommodation at Midalidare, so we will assign the available rooms to the attending guests ahead of the wedding. You don’t need to call the venue to book your room. Room prices vary, but expect average cost around 100BGN per person. Check in is at 2pm on the day of the wedding. Check out is before 10am on the next day. Dress Code

We can’t wait to dance the night away with our favourite people. Dress to impress in your favourite cocktail attire.

We are planning for this to be an outdoor celebration. Bulgaria is nice and warm in September, however, please bring an extra layer to wear into the night as it could get a little chilly.

The ceremony and the reception will take place on a lawn, please bear this in mind when choosing footwear.

Gifts

We are so excited to have you join our special day. We understand that many of you will be going to great lengths to join us and your presence at our wedding is the best gift we could ask for. If you would like to give us something, a contribution towards our honeymoon would be greatly appreciated. We are planning to return to Japan (where we met) sometime in 2025.

Babies and Toddlers

Babies and toddlers are welcome. Please note that the venue is very spread out, with the closest accommodation located ten minutes away from the reception venue. Please keep this in mind when deciding if you and your child will be comfortable.
